Here are answers to some questions:
Q: How far in
advance to I need to call to book you for a party or event?
A: Although I am currently booking about six weeks in advance, call
anytime to see if I have an
opening. Sometimes dates and times change or I may have a cancellation.
Q: How much do
you charge?
A: My fee varies depending on the location of the event and how long
you may want entertainment
provided.
Contact me
on the details you're planning.
Q: What
methods of payment do you accept?
A: I'm not set-up at this time for credit cards, but any other form
of payment is fine.
Q: How far do
you travel?
A: I currently entertain in Northern Ohio and the Lake Erie Islands.
Q: Where did
you learn how to do that?
A: The first place I ever received any information on balloon
creations was the Akron-Summit
County Public Library. I had also learned of someone in the area at the time
who was given a
"mini-course in twisting balloons" and took the course at their house in Akron.
Q: Do you have any Safety Tip that you'd like to share?
A: Yes. Keep balloons
away from young children as they have a tendency to want to put things in
their mouth.
Q: Are there any books that you can recommend to learn balloons?
A: Yes. You can
visit my balloon store for a list of different available balloon books that you
can
purchase. I also have a DVD that teaches 15 different balloon creations
and will be in my
balloon store very soon.
Q: How many different balloon creations can you make?
A: Last time I counted,
I was up to 137 different balloon creations.
Q: How long have you been making balloon creations?
A: As of June 2007, I've
been doing balloon creations for ten years and seven months.
Q: How long will they last?
A: The balloons I use
are the best in the world! They're thicker balloons than store bought brands
and are made to withstand the pressure of twisting them. They generally last
anywhere from a
week to ten days. However I've seen them last longer.
Q: How long do you usually come for a Birthday Party?
A: Most Birthday Parties
I do for about an hour. Usually there are other things planned, so an
hour of entertainment usually works fine.
Q: What is the minimum amount of time that you come to an event?
A: I have a minimum of
one hour.
Q: What do you recommend is a good time to come to the Birthday Party?
A: This pretty much
depends upon what has also been planned for the party. If you're having a party
at a local restaurant, party center or bowling facility, you may want to plan on
having me at the time
that follows something else at the location. Serving food or waiting for other
guests to arrive may
be something to consider. Other than that, I think that usually a half hour
into the party works out
well as most people coming are usually there by then!
Q: Wedding Receptions?
A: Not only is this
great entertainment at Wedding Receptions, but I also have wonderful table
decorations to match the theme and color arrangement.
Q: How many balloons can you blow up in an hour?
A: That pretty much
depends on the different creations that I'm making. However, usually around 35
to 40 multiple balloon creations would be a close guess.
Q: Do you have other people with Mr. Balloon that make balloon creations?
A: No. Just me. I
think it's a lot easier to manage and keep my business organized by working on
my own. I can also assure reliability in arriving at an event and the
performance can be at it's best!
Q: What is the largest balloon creation you've ever done?
A: The largest creation
I've done so far is a giant balloon seahorse at the Sail and Power Boat Show
at the IX center in Cleveland. It was over eight and a half feet high!
Q: What is the largest event you've ever done in Northeast Ohio?
A: The Twinsday Festival
2000 in Twinsburg, Ohio. May I add that if you've never been to the
Twinsday Festival,
try to attend this wonderful annual event. I've never seen so many twins in my
life!
It's a lot of fun with many activities going on throughout the weekend.
Q: Do you cater to adult parties?
A: Yes, but, only for
"clean" balloon creations. I've found that no matter the age, everyone seems to
really enjoy the entertainment and so many people want to receive a balloon for
themselves or to
take home to their kids or grand children.
Q: What is the farthest distance you've ever traveled to entertain with
balloons?
A: Daytona Beach,
Florida.
Q: How often do you "pop" a balloon?
A: I average about one
in every fifty.
Q: How many balloons have you ever blown up?
A: I wish I knew!
However, I'm now averaging about 1,400 balloons a week!
Q: How do I set my Homepage to Mr. Balloon?
A: One way, in Internet
Explorer, is to go to your Tools then click on Internet Options. Choose
"Use Current" (that is, if you're at my site!) and then click on "Apply" and the
"OK". Visit my site
often as I'm working on updates all the time!
Q: How do I add Mr. Balloon to My Favorites list?
A: Right-Click on my
Homepage and choose the "Add to Favorites" option. Enjoy!
Q: Do you perform at Restaurants?
A: Absolutely! I'm
currently at Applebees every Monday evening in Brunswick from 6:00 to 8:00 and
Wednesday evenings from 6:00 to 8:00. Visit my "Dining
Out" page for more information.
Q: How old are you?
A: I'm just a big kid!
